More Pictures

I took a few pictures of the kids while we were just hanging around the house. You can really tell how much Hayley is taking to the animals and the animals are taking to her. Hayley and Maggie are just about inseparable. Noah is starting to get mobile. As soon as he's put on the floor, he takes off- whether its rolling, scooting, or turning- he will be across the room in a matter of seconds! Thats scary!

Tunica Falls

This past weekend, D.D and PhiPhi visited again and we took a day trip up to Pond, MS where there is a hiking area called Tunica Falls. It is miles of trails with waterfalls throughout. It ended up raining on us for the majority of the trip which caused us to shorten our stay, because the hike was much more dangerous with wet, slippery trails. My Mom carried Noah in a front-pack for the entire hike, Phillip carried our backpack, and I took pictures and tried to keep up with Hayley and Maggie. There was a point at the end of the trip that I thought my legs were going to give out and they were going to have to leave me behind! The large hills were a killer! It's sad when a 3 year old can hike longer than her mother! Noah was great. He didn't make a peep the entire time.

Tickfaw State Park

On the last day of Hayley's extended birthday weekend, my mom, Phillip, the kids, and I went on 2 local nature trails. The first one was somewhat disappointing, as it was very short and rather uneventful, except for the snake we saw! The second trail we went on was the Tickfaw State Park and it was great. In fact, we didn't even know that it existed and its only 10 minutes from the house, so I'm hoping that it will become a weekly trip for us. It would be a great source of exercise for the dogs and I plus they have an awesome playground and water park for Hayley. It was very hot but still fun!
