Day at the Park

We went with D.D to Fountainbleau State Park today. Hayley had a great time playing on the beach of Lake Pontchartrain. It was her first beach experience. It was also quite comical to watch her and D.D try to fly a kite! Mom really got into it! They were able to get it in the air a couple of times but not for long. We will try again next time with a better kite. Noah spent his first beach experience sleeping in the shade. After Hayley was finished playing on the beach, we took a walk on the nature trail which turned out to be a lot longer than we had remembered! I'm exhausted and sun burnt but it was well worth it- we had a lot of fun.
Noah is 2 weeks old today. He had his doctor's appointment yesterday. He weighs 8 pounds already! He is still not sleeping at night but hopefully that will improve with time. Other than that, he is a very good baby!

Welcome Home Noah!

We left the hospital Thursday evening and went straight to Mom's house to have dinner. Dinner was great and Mom held Noah! Hayley had fun and loved her D.D's salad! After dinner, we went to my work to pick up Bailey and Maggie and then took our very full car home! Noah is doing very well. Although, he wants to sleep all day and eat all night, but we're working on that. Hayley has done exceptionally well with accepting her role as big sister. The only time she is really jealous is late at night and early in the morning when she is sleepy. Other than that, she has been very loving towards Noah as well as very helpful. We're very proud of her. She has also decided that since she is a big sister now, she is a big girl and does not want to wear diapers anymore. She is on her second day of wearing "big girl panties" and has not had a single accident! We are having a BBQ on Sunday to invite over some friends. Hayley is quite excited about that. Well, thats all that is new for now.

Noah meets his big sister

Hayley came to the hospital on Wednesday to meet Noah. She also spent all day with us there on Thursday until we were discharged. She is very proud of her little brother- although a bit jealous too!!

Baby Noah has arrived!

Noah Kenneth Navarro was born at 12:05p.m on Tuesday, April 15. He weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. He is doing well. He has had a little trouble eating but they expect that to improve over the next 24 hours. He has not met his big sister yet. We have decided for Hayley not to visit today because she would get too worked up when it came time to leave. We can't wait to see her reaction to her new baby brother. I included a pre-delivery picture from this weekend per request of my older sister! I hope yall enjoy the pictures!
